Microtra features

Keep the request, the work and the bill connected.

When you need work order software, Microtra's job records give the work a place from the first written scope to the invoice. Hold the site, status, tasks, notes and costs with the job, then link its appointments and time. Offline editing is coming soon.

Turn the request into a usable scope

Start with the client site and a clear description of what is being asked for. A maintenance request may name a problem without defining the repair; an installation may need a list of supplied items and exclusions. Put the scope in the job details and use an estimate when proposed work needs a priced document.

Break the work into tasks people can follow

Jobs support tasks, notes and status. Make tasks specific enough that someone can tell what remains, and use notes to preserve useful context. Saved job templates can provide a starting point for familiar work, but check the site and requested scope before reusing one.

Move from planned work to an attended appointment

An appointment links the job to assigned staff on the schedule. Review the working hours, lunch breaks and time off that affect the visit. The appointment tells you when and who; the job remains the reference for what the person is there to do.

Build the record of what was supplied

Keep job costs and work notes together, and record time with a timer or manual entries. Hours can be tied to staff, tasks and billing rates. Compare those records with the requested scope so an extra task or purchased part can be discussed before it becomes a surprise on the bill.

Close the loop with an explained invoice

Prepare a time-and-materials invoice from the job or use progress invoices from an estimate. Check descriptions, amounts and the work being billed. Generate the PDF and share it through your device, then record payments received elsewhere; card charging is coming soon.

How it works.

  1. Write the request into the job with the correct client site and a scope the business can act on.
  2. Add the required tasks and notes, or adapt a saved job template to the particular request.
  3. Schedule the job-linked appointment and record the time, costs and updates as work is carried out.
  4. Review the finished work against the agreement, prepare the invoice and keep the recorded payment with the bill.
Coming soon

What is still on the way.

Offline editing is coming soon.

Server email and SMS delivery are coming soon.

Public client pages and the client portal are coming soon.

Useful answers.

Is there a separate screen called Work Orders?

This page describes a work order process using Microtra's jobs. The app's words depend on industry setup and can be adjusted in Modules & terms; it does not promise a separate work-order module.

Can I reuse the same task list for similar work?

Saved job templates are supported. Review the details for the new request so the template does not carry forward a task or assumption that does not apply.

How do costs and time reach the invoice?

Time-and-materials invoices from jobs are supported. Review the recorded work, costs and billing arrangement before sharing the invoice PDF through your device.

Can a client open a public page to follow progress?

Public client pages and the client portal are coming soon. Keep the internal job record up to date and communicate with the client through the method your business already uses.
