Microtra features

Know which stock is where before you buy more.

Microtra's inventory app for small business connects saved items, stock locations, physical counts and purchasing. Stock starts on for Retail shop and Bakery & food. For other industries, switch it on in Modules & terms when you need it.

A location gives a quantity meaning

Stock is tracked by location, with transfers between locations. A quantity on a shelf and a quantity held elsewhere are different planning facts. Record movements so the location you check is the one that will supply the sale, service or job.

Compare the record with what is on the shelf

Physical counts and wastage records help you account for what you actually have. Count carefully before recording a difference, and distinguish a transfer from damaged or wasted stock. The record is useful only when the movements and counts reflect what happened.

Keep variations and grouped items clear

Saved items, variants, reorder levels and kits are supported. Give variants descriptions that distinguish the size, finish or other option your business handles. Use kits where grouped items fit your work, and review the components rather than assuming every kit has the same contents.

Connect the next order to its supplier

Keep supplier contacts and price lists with purchasing records. Supplier price lists support CSV import and export, while purchase orders and supplier bills keep the buying side visible. Check descriptions and units before ordering so a pack size is not confused with an individual item.

Follow materials into the job

Material costs can be linked to jobs, giving service work a connection to the items used. Review these costs with the rest of the job before billing. SmartRead for supplier bills and server email delivery are coming soon, so enter and check the bill details and handle delivery through your existing channel.

How it works.

  1. Enable stock in Modules & terms if your industry setup starts without it, then organize items and locations.
  2. Set useful variants, kits and reorder levels, and add supplier contacts and price lists.
  3. Record purchases, location transfers and wastage; use physical counts to check the saved quantities.
  4. Review stock where it is needed and keep job material costs connected to the relevant work.

Useful answers.

Will a cleaning or trade business see stock immediately after setup?

Stock starts on only for Retail shop and Bakery & food. Other industries can enable it in Modules & terms. The capability is available without assuming every business needs it in its starting layout.

Can I track the same item at different locations?

Yes. Stock by location and transfers are supported. Record the movement between locations rather than treating every stored unit as available in the same place.

Does a reorder level automatically place an order?

This page promises saved reorder levels and purchase orders, not automatic purchasing. Review the quantity, supplier and order before making a buying commitment.

Will a supplier bill be read automatically?

SmartRead for supplier bills is coming soon. Enter and review the supplier bill yourself, including the item descriptions, quantities and costs.
