This is not a tax document or a determination of tax deductibility. Formula: receipt total = the amount received.

How it works.

  1. Enter the receiving business, the payer and a receipt reference. Describe the work, goods or invoice covered by this particular payment.
  2. Type the amount actually received, select its currency and record the payment method and date. USD and US date display are the defaults.
  3. Check the receipt against your bank, cash or other payment record. For a partial payment, enter only the amount received and explain the related invoice or remaining balance in the notes.
  4. Download PDF for sharing or DOCX for editing. Files are created in your browser without an account. Nothing is uploaded or stored by the tool; leave or refresh the page to clear its entries.

Useful answers.

What is the difference between a receipt and an invoice?

An invoice asks for payment for work or goods. A receipt acknowledges a payment received. Check that the amount, payment date and description match your records before giving the receipt to the payer.

Can I record a deposit or partial payment?

Yes. Enter only the amount received, describe it as a deposit or partial payment where appropriate, and add the related invoice reference in the notes. The tool does not track other payments or work out an outstanding invoice balance.

Does downloading a receipt charge the client?

No. The payment must happen through your own payment method outside this generator. Microtra card charging is coming soon. This page neither moves money nor checks that a payment has cleared.

Can I use this as proof of a tax deduction?

The download is not a tax document and does not establish whether an expense is deductible. Keep the supporting records required for your situation and ask a qualified tax professional what evidence you need.
