Free quote maker for written estimates

Put proposed work into an itemized estimate before discussing the price with a client. Enter your own quantities and rates, describe what is included and excluded, and check the live total. Download a PDF to share or a DOCX to edit. An estimate is not a contract; confirm the final scope and terms separately.

Describe the proposed work

Formula: each line = quantity x rate, rounded to the smallest currency unit. Estimate total = sum of the rounded lines.

This estimate is not a contract. Confirm the scope, exclusions and final terms separately.

How it works.

  1. Identify the business and client, then add an estimate reference you can recognize later. USD is selected by default; choose a different supported currency if needed.
  2. Break the proposed work into useful lines, such as preparation hours, materials or a defined service. Enter each quantity, its unit and your own rate. Each line is rounded to the smallest currency unit before being added to the total.
  3. Use the notes to explain access assumptions, exclusions, timing and how long the estimate remains open. Check applicable tax obligations before including tax as a separate line.
  4. Review the preview and download the file you need. Details remain in this page's memory, without uploads or browser storage, and clear when you leave or refresh. The download does not create an estimate in Microtra.

Useful answers.

Is the estimate a contract?

No. This generator prepares an estimate of the work and price you enter. Agree the final scope, responsibilities and terms separately, and ask a qualified attorney about any contract you plan to use.

Can I separate labor and materials?

Yes. Add a line for each part you want the client to see. For labor, enter your planned hours and hourly rate; for materials, use the quantity and unit that match your supplier information. The generator does not choose rates or estimate the time for you.

Does the quote maker calculate tax or discounts?

It multiplies each quantity by its rate and adds the rounded lines. It does not determine tax obligations or apply a discount automatically. Enter rates that reflect the price you intend, explain any discount in the notes, and recheck the final total.

Can I return to the same estimate later?

The page does not retain entries after you leave or refresh. Download a copy before closing it. Use the DOCX if you need an editable file, or create an estimate separately in Microtra to keep an app record.
