Show the move behind the final charge

Stairs, long carries and a changed delivery location can affect a move, but an invoice should explain only the charges your customer agreed to. Keep pickup and delivery references visible and distinguish crew labor from packing supplies. This sample is a billing layout; it does not replace transport documents, inventory records or required consumer disclosures.

How to use the template.

  1. Reconcile the final inventory and move record with the customer reference, pickup address and delivery address before preparing the bill.
  2. Use the time definition in the accepted agreement. Identify travel, breaks or minimum charges only in the way your terms allow.
  3. Count packing materials actually supplied and remove unused stock from the bill. Keep agreed specialty-item handling separate where it was priced separately.
  4. Explain approved access changes with the relevant record, check prior payments and review applicable transport billing rules with a qualified adviser when needed.

Useful answers.

How do I avoid confusion about crew-hours?

Spell out the unit you agreed. An hour for an entire crew and the combined hours of each mover are different quantities, so do not use the same label for both.

Should packing and moving be separate entries?

Separate them when they have different scope, dates or pricing. That helps the customer distinguish labor spent packing from the actual loading and delivery work.

Does this replace a bill of lading?

No. Use the transport and consumer documents appropriate to your work. This sample is only an invoice layout and does not establish compliance for a local or interstate move.
