A quote template for a defined piece of work
A quote is easier to review when the client can see exactly which work the offered price covers. This sample prices the assembly of freestanding display units, separating the visit, completed units and supplied fixings. Replace the whole scope for your own service and explain what could change the offer before the client authorizes work.

[Identify the exact models, supplied parts and access conditions included in this offer.]
Excluded in this example: wall anchoring, electrical work, alterations and removal of old fixtures.
[State whether the quoted total is fixed for the defined scope or subject to stated allowances.]
[Add issue and expiry details, proposed scheduling assumptions and the agreed authorization process.]
[Resolve applicable tax treatment and payment terms before issuing the quote.]
[Describe how missing parts, changed quantities or additional work will be reviewed before proceeding.]
How to use the template.
- Define the result and included quantity before entering a price. A quote for complete kits needs a different scope from a repair visit with unknown parts.
- Choose units the client can verify, such as an assembled item, service visit or agreed stage. Use your own costing method instead of copying the example rates.
- State assumptions, excluded tasks and any allowances clearly. Identify what happens if site conditions differ from the information used to quote.
- Set the validity and authorization process you intend to use. Review contract questions with a qualified professional rather than relying on a generic document label.
- Check every multiplication and the total, save your reviewed version and send it through your chosen communication channel.
Useful answers.
Should a quote include an expiry point?
Give the client a clear review window that fits your supplier pricing and availability. Explain how you will confirm the offer again if they return after that window.
What if the client requests another unit after accepting?
Record the changed scope and agree its pricing effect before carrying out the extra work. Preserve the original offer so both parties can see what changed.
Can this also track expenses and employee hours?
It is a client-facing quote sample. Keep expense evidence and time records separately, then use them to check your costing rather than treating this download as an expense report or timesheet.
Keep exploring.
