Software for florists

Keep the flowers promised close to the order recorded.

A sympathy arrangement, a wedding bouquet and a counter sale have different briefs, timing and supply needs. Microtra gives a small florist a place for customer details, agreed order descriptions, purchasing and invoices while the florist chooses stems and creates the design.

The everyday details

You know the work.
The admin adds up.

A color brief is not a stem list

A customer may describe a palette or show a reference image without selecting exact flowers. Record the agreed arrangement, size description and substitution conversation. Keep your design decisions and customer approval process clear rather than promising an exact copy of an inspiration photo.

Fresh supply and usable supply differ

Flowers arrive in bunches, while orders may consume individual stems and foliage. Decide consistent units for the items you track, check physical quantities and record wastage. A purchase total alone cannot tell you what is still usable at the workbench.

Delivery instructions belong with the order

A recipient's name, venue entrance or collection arrangement can be as important as the floral brief. Confirm the practical details directly and keep them in order notes. The person paying may not be the person receiving the flowers.

How Microtra helps

Keep the business connected.

Use the tools that fit your day, with your records ready on your phone or on the web.

Give the customer brief a home

Save customer contact details and put arrangement descriptions, approved substitutions and handover instructions in order notes. Retail shop uses Order and Customer. Linked records start off; enable them in Modules & terms before adding that extra structure.

Describe the arrangement you sell

Prepare estimates and invoices with items for bouquets, centerpieces, vessels and agreed delivery services. Check quantities and pricing using your own costing method. Microtra does not generate floral recipes or design a wedding installation.

Count supplies in consistent units

Use stock by location for the items you choose to track, with physical counts, transfers and wastage. Keep stems, bunches, containers and wrapping clearly distinguished. The software does not assess freshness or tell you whether a stem meets your quality standard.

Place the supplier order deliberately

Keep supplier contacts, price lists, purchase orders and supplier bills with business purchasing. Review substitutions and actual availability with the supplier before committing to the customer's design. Saved items cannot guarantee a flower will arrive in suitable condition.

Keep the payment account separate

Record the sale and payments received through your existing method, then share the invoice PDF through your device. Card charging and Tap to Pay are coming soon. A recorded sale is not payment collection by Microtra.

A day in the life

From the first quote to paid.

  1. Translate the floral request

Discuss the occasion, arrangement, palette and handover. Write down what you agree, including how substitutions will be handled, then prepare an estimate when the scope needs approval before you purchase.

  2. Check flowers and hard goods

Review usable supplies, physical counts and vessels. Order what is needed through your normal supplier process and enter costs, keeping your own freshness and handling checks alongside the business record.

  3. Arrange the handover

Scheduling starts off for Retail shop; enable it in Modules & terms before using appointments for consultations or order handovers. Confirm delivery or collection directly and plan the journey through your own process.

  4. Finish and reconcile

Compare the completed arrangement with the agreed order, review the invoice and record payment received elsewhere. Enter wastage and purchasing details so the business account reflects more than the flowers that left the shop.

A few useful answers

Questions from florists.

Is this a florist point-of-sale payment terminal?

Microtra records sales and payments taken elsewhere. Card charging, Tap to Pay and pay links are coming soon. Keep your existing payment method and record what was received, rather than expecting the app to process the customer's card.

Can I manage a wedding flower estimate?

Yes. Describe the bouquets, arrangements, vessels and services you have agreed, using quantities and clear notes. Design, recipe costing, stem calculations and installation planning remain your work; a general estimate does not create a florist production plan.

Does inventory handle perishable quality for me?

No. You can record counts and wastage, but staff still inspect flowers and determine usable supply. Consistent units help the business record; they do not provide automatic freshness checks, cold-chain monitoring or a replacement for your handling procedures.

Can customers order flowers through a public store?

Microtra does not provide a public florist storefront. Public online booking and the client portal are coming soon. Take the order through your existing channel, confirm the details directly and enter the agreed work inside the business.
