Software for electricians
Leave a bill that explains the electrical work delivered.
The person approving an electrical invoice may never have been on site. Give them descriptions that identify the property, completed scope and any agreed additions. Microtra helps you prepare invoices from saved items, estimates or work records, then keep the document and recorded payment history with the Client and Job instead of leaving the account dependent on a site conversation.
Make room for the real work.
- Fault-finding labor
- Supplied lighting and fitting work
- Agreed outlet installation
- Project-stage electrical work
- Additional work approved during a visit
- Client-billable material cost
How it works.
Match the bill to the completed assignment
Open the Job, estimate and notes before preparing the invoice. Trades & construction setup uses Job, Client and Properties. Check the property reference, payer and any change discussed on site. Describe what was completed, and keep deferred work visible in the work record rather than including it as though it had already been supplied.
See the jobs featureSeparate services and materials where useful
Choose reusable items and your actual quantities. A fitting, installation service and diagnostic task may deserve distinct lines so the client can follow the scope. For estimate-based work, progress invoices are available; for time-and-materials work, check the source entries before billing. You decide which method matches the agreement and the completed stage.
See the invoicing featureReview the evidence behind time and costs
Check timer or manual time entries, billing rates and billable client expenses. A purchased cable reel or item of equipment is not automatically the quantity chargeable to a particular client. Review what was supplied and agreed, then apply your prices and tax settings. Use your professional advice where the correct tax treatment needs clarification.

Send the PDF through your device after checking the Client billing preferences. Record payments received through your existing arrangement and review the remaining balance. Card charging and pay links are coming soon. Keep specialist technical records in your normal process; a paid business invoice does not replace the testing or other documentation appropriate to the work.

Useful answers.
Can I invoice diagnostic time even if a repair is separate?
Describe the investigative service according to your agreement and show it clearly on the invoice. Keep the findings and any later repair scope in the Job notes. Discuss additional work directly rather than assuming payment for a diagnostic visit also authorizes every repair identified during it.
Can a progress invoice come from an electrical estimate?
Yes. Progress invoices from estimates are live. Review which stage is billable under your agreement and check earlier invoices before preparing the next document. Explain the stage in recognizable terms so a property manager or finance contact can relate it to the work they approved.
Does the invoice include an electrical certificate?
This workflow produces a business invoice for the services and materials you describe. It does not promise a specialist electrical certificate, test schedule or technical sign-off. Use your normal professional process for those records and keep the billing document clear about the work being charged.
Will it email invoices and reminders itself?
Server email delivery and automatic service reminders are coming soon. Share the invoice PDF from your device and manage account communication through your existing process. Record payment when received so the balance reflects money collected rather than an invoice simply sent to the billing contact.
Keep exploring.
