Software for electricians

Know the site and the scope before the next conversation.

An electrical inquiry may come from the owner, a property manager or the person waiting at the site. Keep the contact, location and agreed work connected so the next person helping the client knows what has been discussed. Microtra supports the business record behind your electrical work, while technical decisions, testing and professional procedures remain yours to manage.

Make room for the real work.

  • Fault-finding inquiry
  • Lighting installation discussion
  • Property maintenance assignment
  • Panel-related scope review
  • Tenant access coordination
  • Return visit after parts arrive

How it works.

  1. Connect the payer to the actual property

Trades & construction starts with Client, Properties and Job labels. Add the billing contact and relevant site details, then identify who provides access in the Job notes. A management company may pay for several properties, so check the specific address and occupant rather than assuming the contact's billing address is where the work takes place.

  2. Preserve the difference between a report and a finding

Record the client's concern, your work scope and outstanding tasks separately. A report of intermittent tripping is useful context, while the diagnosis and action need your own assessment. Use notes and status to help another staff member understand whether the work is awaiting access, a decision or the next visit.

  3. Keep the estimate conversation attached

Prepare an estimate from the work you have scoped, with descriptive items and your own quantities and prices. Share its PDF through your device and record any agreed changes with the Job. Confirm who can authorize additional work through your business process rather than treating every site request as approval from the payer.

  4. Use history to support the next handoff

Review estimates, invoices, recorded payments and statements before discussing another assignment. Keep unfinished work visible when the immediate visit ends. The client portal is coming soon; share relevant document PDFs from your device and use your normal professional process for technical records, test results and any other specialist documentation the work requires.

Useful answers.

Can I keep several sites for the same property manager?

Client records support multiple sites and linked property details. Give each Job an address and a scope that make the assignment easy to distinguish. Check the site contact as well as the billing contact before arranging access or sharing the invoice with the payer.

Does this replace electrical test or certification software?

This page describes contacts, Job context, estimates and invoices. It does not promise electrical design, test-result interpretation or specialist certification documents. Carry out technical work and produce the appropriate professional records through the procedures and tools your business uses for that purpose.

Will it automatically remind clients about repeat work?

Automatic service reminders and server email delivery are coming soon. Use saved history to inform communication you manage yourself. Review the actual property and scope before arranging another visit rather than assuming an earlier task determines what a different electrical concern needs.

Can technicians see only their own assigned jobs?

Finer role-based access is coming soon. Business members can read and write business records, while settings and team administration require owner or All Access permissions. Consider that shared access when recording business information and keep sensitive specialist records in the appropriate handling process.
