Match the welding work to the drawing and acceptance criteria

A welding job needs a defined fabrication or repair scope and a clear source for technical requirements. This downloadable sample organizes drawings, materials, site conditions and acceptance questions. It does not supply an engineering specification or certify a weld; take the PDF or DOCX to qualified technical and legal advisers.

Inside the downloadable sample

  • Workpiece, drawings and technical authority
  • Material identification and supplied components
  • Shop fabrication or field-work conditions
  • Inspection, testing and finish boundaries
  • Measurement, changes and financial attachment
  • Delivery, installation and completion record

The PDF and editable DOCX contain the sample clauses and blank agreement fields. Microtra does not generate contracts.

How to use the template.

  1. Gather the drawing revision, material information and qualified technical specification before preparing the scope.
  2. Separate shop work, field work, finishing and testing so their responsibilities are visible.
  3. Have qualified technical advisers confirm the specification and a qualified attorney in your state review the agreement.
  4. Keep the reviewed contract with approved drawing changes and the agreed completion records.

Useful answers.

Can this sample specify a structural weld?

No. It does not provide engineering design or technical acceptance standards. Obtain the appropriate specification from qualified professionals and have counsel define each party's contractual responsibility.

Why distinguish shop work from field welding?

Access, lifting, power and coordination can differ substantially. The agreed location and preparation responsibilities help both parties understand the work being priced.

Does a fabrication price automatically include coating and installation?

List those operations separately. Fabricating a component, transporting it, installing it and applying a finish can involve different work, providers and acceptance decisions.
