Make the website milestone visible on the invoice
A website project can be designed, built, reviewed and handed over at different points. Name the stage this bill covers so a client does not mistake a design approval for a live-site launch. This example separates an accepted design milestone from an approved page addition and a handoff session, without assuming hosting or continuing maintenance was sold.

How to use the template.
- Select the completed milestone from the accepted project scope. Separate design, implementation, testing and launch when the agreement treats them as different stages.
- Compare the final page list with the approved sitemap. Give added pages or functionality their own accepted change reference.
- Distinguish project fees from ongoing hosting, domain renewal or maintenance. Do not imply that a one-time handoff purchases continuing support.
- Reconcile earlier milestone invoices and advance payments, then add the issue date, due date and client's billing reference before sharing the document.
Useful answers.
Can I bill design before the site launches?
Yes, where the accepted milestone arrangement allows it. Describe the design stage actually completed rather than stating that the website is launched.
How should third-party subscriptions appear?
Clarify who purchased and pays for them. Reimbursements need the agreed arrangement and supporting record; do not bundle an unapproved recurring commitment into a project invoice.
What if the client requests more revision rounds?
Check the accepted review allowance and document the additional scope. Identify the approved extra work separately from corrections needed to meet the original brief.
Keep exploring.
