Identify the machine and the repair performed
A shop may have several similar mowers on the bench at once. Put the equipment identifier and work-order reference on the invoice so the customer knows which repair it covers. This example follows a mower from a starting-fault inspection to carburetor work and a replacement plug; it does not assume every machine needs those tasks.

How to use the template.
- Match the equipment tag with the owner's work order before transferring bench notes into the bill. A model name alone may not distinguish similar machines.
- Describe the diagnostic stage and authorized repair separately. Keep declined recommendations out of completed-work quantities.
- Verify fitted parts, returned parts and any diagnostic credit agreed when the repair was accepted. Avoid billing an unused part from the original estimate.
- Enter completion and invoice dates, check earlier payments and review the document with the machine's test result and handover notes.
Useful answers.
What if the machine was uneconomical to repair?
Describe the diagnostic work completed and apply the agreed inspection charge. Do not bill for a repair that was recommended but declined.
How should seasonal servicing be described?
Name the completed tasks or reference an agreed service schedule. A general tune-up label is less useful when the owner needs to know whether filters, oil or blades were included.
Can pickup and return be added?
Show them separately when the owner approved a collection service. If transport was included in the accepted service fee, do not add another charge for the same journey.
Keep exploring.
