Define the boarding care and stable responsibilities

Boarding arrangements need a precise care scope: stall use, feed, turnout and services supplied by the owner or outside professionals. This downloadable outline helps a stable and horse owner prepare those decisions for attorney review. It is not veterinary guidance or a ready-made liability release. Microtra does not create contracts, and the sample leaves legal and medical decisions to qualified professionals.

Inside the downloadable sample

  • Horse identity and authorized owner
  • Accommodation and included daily care
  • Feed instructions and care changes
  • Turnout, handling and facility use
  • Veterinary and farrier arrangements
  • Boarding charges, extras and departure
  • Attachments and signatures

The PDF and editable DOCX contain the sample clauses and blank agreement fields. Microtra does not generate contracts.

How to use the template.

  1. Describe the actual boarding package and list services provided by the owner, stable, veterinarian and farrier separately.
  2. Prepare care and emergency-contact records through a secure process; leave medical instructions to the appropriate professionals.
  3. Ask a qualified attorney in your state to review the care scope, facility rules, financial terms and proposed responsibility language.
  4. Use your own signing process and update the reviewed attachments when an approved boarding or care arrangement changes.

Useful answers.

Does full board have a fixed meaning in this sample?

No. Spell out the accommodation, feed, bedding, turnout and included handling rather than relying on a package name. Identify owner-supplied products and separately arranged services.

Can the stable approve emergency veterinary treatment automatically?

The sample does not establish that authority. Discuss the response plan with the owner, a qualified veterinarian and your attorney, including how consent and expense approval are handled.

Is this a state equine-liability notice?

No. It does not supply a statutory notice, waiver or statement of state requirements. Your attorney should determine the appropriate documents and language for your location and activities.
