A graphic design invoice tied to approved artwork
An invoice should let the client match the charge to the artwork they approved. This graphic design invoice template uses a fictional event-poster project with separate adaptation and prepress work. Reference the approved brief and delivered file list so another person in the client's accounts team can understand the bill.

The invoice describes billing; ownership, licensing and source-file terms remain governed by the separate agreement.
How to use the template.
- Locate the accepted brief and approvals, then describe only the stages or files being billed.
- Distinguish additional approved revisions from corrections already included in the agreed fee.
- Replace quantities and amounts, reconcile earlier payments and verify the sum due.
- Keep the delivery and approval record with your own copy and send the reviewed invoice through your chosen channel.
Useful answers.
Should I charge for every artwork export separately?
Follow the accepted scope. Included formats belong within their agreed stage; a separately requested adaptation should have its own approval before it becomes an extra charge.
What helps an accounts team recognize the bill?
Use their purchase-order reference if supplied, the project name, the billed stage and a concise delivered-file description. Avoid relying on a file nickname only the designer knows.
