A production agreement outline for contract embroidery orders
A logo file alone does not define an embroidery order. Garment condition, thread choices, hoop position and an approved sew-out all affect what the customer expects to receive. This download helps an embroidery shop prepare the production details for legal review. It offers no standard contract embroidery pricing and Microtra does not create the agreement.
This is a sample, not legal advice. Have a qualified attorney in your state review any contract before you use it.
Inside the downloadable sample
- Order identity and garment intake
- Artwork, digitizing and permissions
- Thread and placement approval
- Production quantities and exceptions
- Delivery and commercial terms
- Inspection and accepted changes
The PDF and editable DOCX contain the sample clauses and blank agreement fields. Microtra does not generate contracts.
How to use the template.
- Assemble the garment intake list, artwork revision and proposed thread references before editing the DOCX.
- Use a separate proof or sew-out approval record and make its revision identifiable in the order outline.
- Ask a qualified attorney in your state to review production-risk, artwork-rights and commercial terms; do not substitute the sample for that review.
- Keep the finalized agreement with your approved production specifications through your own signing and recordkeeping process.
Useful answers.
Is contract embroidery different from a garment supply order?
It can be. A customer may bring blank garments and buy only decoration, or buy both garments and embroidery. Identify which arrangement applies because supply, intake counts and replacement questions differ.
Does the sample provide a standard stitch-count price?
No. Work out your own production time, digitizing, thread, backing, handling and overhead before preparing a quote. This outline leaves commercial amounts blank for the actual order.
What should accompany the signed production agreement?
Keep the garment schedule, approved artwork revision, placement and thread details, and any sew-out approval together. Those records help explain what the customer approved without turning the agreement into a generic logo description.
Keep exploring.
