Software for embroidery shop owners

Keep the garment order as clear as the stitch work.

A teamwear repeat, a monogrammed gift and a box of customer-supplied jackets need different conversations. Keep quantities, garment details, agreed decoration and delivery arrangements beside the customer account, while your embroidery equipment and design tools handle the production work.

Unleash your potential.

The everyday details

You know the work.
The admin adds up.

The sample and the order can drift apart

A logo approved for a polo may not suit a cap or a heavy jacket. Record the garment type, decoration position and version the customer has agreed. Keep artwork approval in your existing process rather than assuming a previous order covers the change.

Supplied garments need a careful count

Customers may bring mixed sizes, colors and styles in the same bag. Record the quantities accepted and distinguish their garments from blanks you supply. Check what has arrived before you commit to the finished order and its price.

Small supplies still affect the margin

Thread, backing, needles, topping and packaging can be easy to overlook beside a large garment purchase. Separate production materials from design preparation and finishing when you build the estimate, then compare the recorded costs after the work leaves.

How Microtra helps

Keep the business connected.

Use the tools that fit your day, with your records ready on your phone or on the web.

Keep the customer brief attached

Save customer contact details and use order notes for garment descriptions, decoration positions and agreed instructions. Retail shop uses Order and Customer without linked records. Keep specialist artwork files and approval steps in your chosen design workflow.

Price what you intend to produce

Create estimates with saved items and quantities for supplied blanks, decoration, setup and other agreed work. Enter the stitch or setup calculation yourself. Microtra does not digitize logos, create stitch files or program an embroidery machine.

See supplies by location

Use stock locations and physical counts for the items you track, such as blanks and consumables. Record transfers and wastage where relevant. Check actual usable thread and garment availability before promising production; general stock counts are not a machine scheduling system.

Organize purchasing before the run

Keep supplier contacts and price lists, and prepare purchase orders for blanks or supplies. Review colors and sizes against the customer's brief before ordering. Supplier bills and material costs help you follow the spending behind the finished pieces.

Send an understandable finished account

A day in the life

From the first quote to paid.

  1. Count and describe the garments

Confirm sizes, colors, supplied blanks and decoration locations. Put the agreed order detail in writing so a mixed bag of workwear does not turn into an ambiguous description at collection.

  2. Prepare the estimate

Separate blank garments, setup and decoration items. Discuss how changes or additional pieces will be handled, and complete your artwork and sample approval process before production starts.

  3. Check the materials on hand

Review physical quantities, place any supplier order and note material costs. Scheduling starts off for Retail shop; enable it in Modules & terms before using the calendar to arrange an order-related appointment.

  4. Reconcile at collection

Check finished quantities against the agreed order and record any approved changes. Share the invoice, record money received elsewhere and retain useful customer notes for a genuinely comparable repeat request.

A few useful answers

Questions from embroidery shop owners.

Is Microtra embroidery design software?

No. It handles customer records, estimates, orders, purchasing and invoices. Use specialist embroidery software for digitizing, stitch editing, machine formats and production settings. A saved business item does not contain a stitch program or verify a design's sewability.

Can I track different garment options?

Saved items and variants can represent the products you sell, with stock by location. Decide how you will name sizes and colors consistently, then check counts against the physical garments rather than relying on a vague shirt description.

Does it include customer garment tracking?

You can describe accepted garments and quantities in order notes, but Microtra does not provide a specialist garment custody or barcode production workflow. Use your own intake checks, identification and handover process for pieces entrusted to you.

Can customers submit orders themselves online?

Public online booking and the client portal are coming soon. Take the brief directly, confirm the approved artwork through your existing process and enter the order yourself. Sharing an invoice PDF does not publish a storefront or approve a design.
