A drywall agreement outline for assemblies, finish and handover

A drywall scope needs to say more than hang and finish. Board selection, ceiling areas, patches, corner details and the intended finish affect both the work and what the customer will accept. This outline organizes those decisions for an attorney; Microtra does not make drywall or carpentry contracts.

Inside the downloadable sample

  • Rooms, surfaces and referenced assemblies
  • Readiness and work by other trades
  • Hanging and finishing details
  • Protection, access and site environment
  • Changes, repair matching and payment
  • Inspection, completion and final terms

The PDF and editable DOCX contain the sample clauses and blank agreement fields. Microtra does not generate contracts.

How to use the template.

  1. Attach a surface schedule and the actual board and finish specifications before editing the outline.
  2. Resolve substrate readiness, work by others, protection and patch-matching expectations with the project team.
  3. Have a qualified attorney in your state review the scope attachments and draft the final agreement.
  4. Sign through your own process and retain the approved drawing revisions and written changes.

Useful answers.

Can this cover carpentry as well as drywall?

Only if you define the actual carpentry scope separately and it fits the work you offer. Framing, trim and board finishing are not interchangeable descriptions; the attorney needs the complete service scope.

Does a paint-ready finish mean every surface looks identical?

Define the specified finish and the decoration conditions rather than relying on a broad phrase. Review repair matching and existing surface differences with the project team before agreeing acceptance terms.

Who confirms concealed work is ready to cover?

Follow the authorized project and inspection process. The drywall scope should identify the required release; this sample cannot provide that release or certify other trades' work.
