A DJ booking agreement outline for the venue and run of show

The performance is only one part of a DJ booking. Load-in access, sound limits, microphone needs, key announcements and pack-out all need an agreed plan. Use this downloadable outline to collect those details for attorney review. Microtra does not create DJ contracts or provide a signing process for this sample.

Inside the downloadable sample

  • Booking identity and performance windows
  • Sound, lighting and power responsibilities
  • Music direction and announcements
  • Schedule changes and additional performance
  • Booking charges and disruption
  • Venue risk and final authorization

The PDF and editable DOCX contain the sample clauses and blank agreement fields. Microtra does not generate contracts.

How to use the template.

  1. Collect the venue requirements and performance plan before filling out the sample.
  2. Resolve equipment, microphones, cues and authorized schedule changes with the event contact.
  3. Give the outline, quote and venue information to a qualified attorney in your state for suitable drafting.
  4. Use your own signing process and keep the approved run of show with the final agreement.

Useful answers.

Does this include a ceremony and reception automatically?

No. List each performance area and time window explicitly, including any separate sound setup or microphone needs. A reception package should not silently become a full-event commitment.

How should overtime be handled?

Agree who can authorize an extension and how availability and pricing are confirmed. Have the attorney draft terms that fit the booking rather than copying a universal overtime rule.

Can the sample promise to play every request?

It does not. Record music direction and explain the practical request process, including event suitability and the limits of your available music and service.
