Software for siding business owners
Count the corners and details around the wall area.
The cladding area is only part of a siding estimate. Openings, starter pieces, corner trim, removal and access all shape the work. Measure and specify the job yourself, then use Microtra to organize quantities and notes so the owner can understand what your proposal includes.
Make room for the real work.
- Existing siding removal
- New wall cladding installation
- Corner and opening trim
- Housewrap and flashing scope
- Soffit and fascia work by agreement
- Insulation allowance with specified scope
How it works.
Describe each elevation before pricing
Record the site and surveyed work in the Job notes. Separate walls with different access or substrate conditions. Note what could not be inspected behind the existing cladding and which surfaces the estimate assumes will be ready for installation.
See the jobs featureUse measured areas and counted details
Enter cladding in the unit you buy or price, then list trim lengths, corners and other components distinctly. Check the specification and cutting allowance against the supplier information. The app supports quantities and prices; it does not infer wall dimensions or prepare a siding layout.
See the invoicing featureInclude the enabling work deliberately
Check whether your scope includes removal, disposal, protection, access equipment and finishing around openings. Put insulation or substrate repair in its own clear description when included. Explain how hidden deterioration will be assessed and discussed rather than burying it inside a general installation item.
See the invoicing featureCompare changes against the proposed system
Review the estimate after a client changes the profile, finish or extent of the work. That choice may affect accessories and labor as well as the main material. Share the revised PDF from your device and confirm the agreed scope before starting the changed work.

Useful answers.
Will this calculate siding quantities from a photo?
Measure the elevations and count the openings and details yourself. Microtra prepares the estimate from the quantities you enter. It does not promise photo measurement, design verification or an automatic ordering schedule.
Should trim be included in the wall-area item?
Choose a structure that makes your actual scope clear. Separate trim and opening details when they materially affect labor or supply. A short note should explain any components included within a combined item so the client can compare proposals fairly.
How do I price insulation alongside siding?
Specify the insulation work, quantities and preparation separately. Determine the material and method through the appropriate technical process, then enter your calculated costs and rates. Do not assume cladding replacement always includes insulation.
What if I find damaged sheathing after removal?
Record the finding, explain how it differs from the inspected scope and discuss the proposed response with the client. Have contractual terms reviewed by a qualified professional when needed; the estimate itself is not legal advice.
Keep exploring.
