Software for photography business owners

Give the shoot a clear business brief.

Before the camera comes out, someone needs to settle which images the client is actually paying to receive. Connect the accepted scope, shoot appointment and invoice so your time behind the camera starts with a clear agreement about the work.

The everyday details

You know the work.
The admin adds up.

The deliverables need words

Shoot duration alone does not describe a photography assignment. Agree the setting, subjects, intended deliverables and revision boundaries before promising a price or a delivery plan.

Preparation is easy to overlook

Location access, prop collection and equipment setup happen before the first frame. A calendar entry for camera time alone leaves the rest of the assignment floating outside the work record.

Changes arrive after the shoot

An additional product, extra image selection or second location can expand the original request. Record what was approved and discuss its effect before adding it to the final invoice.

An assistant needs a usable brief

A second photographer or assistant needs the agreed assignment and practical call time. Clarify which preparations they own, and communicate changes directly so a task list supplements the professional handover rather than replacing it.

Add tasks and appointments to the job, assign staff and allow for setup in your own plan. A location change can be reflected in the work notes rather than left only in a message.

  4. Reconcile the business record

Share the invoice PDF, record payment received elsewhere and retain the job history alongside your separate image archive.
