Know which door the client means this time.
A repeat repair request often starts with a short message: the latch is sticking again, or the shelf needs extending. The useful context is the property, the earlier work and the person approving the change. Microtra helps keep that context with the client so a return visit starts with a clearer understanding of the job.

How it works.
Separate the billing contact from the work address
Trades & construction setup uses Client, Job and Properties. Save the contact details and link the relevant property so a landlord's billing address does not become the tenant's visit address. Note who can authorize extra work and whom to contact for access. Recheck arrangements when occupancy changes instead of assuming last visit's information is still suitable.
See the clients featureGive the repair request enough detail to recognize
Use job notes and tasks to describe the room, fixture and requested outcome. A note about a rear entry latch is more useful than a general door repair label. Capture the distinction between repairing the existing part and supplying a replacement, along with the client's selection or parts responsibility, so the next conversation starts from the same scope.
See the jobs featureCheck the history before promising the next visit
Review earlier estimates, invoices and payment history when a client asks for more work. Identify what was previously delivered and whether the new request is a fresh task or something to inspect. Plan the visit yourself around access and the parts you expect to need; the record supports your judgment rather than deciding the repair for you.
See the clients featureLeave a trace of the completed work
Update the work notes and prepare an invoice with descriptions that identify the repairs performed. Share its PDF from your device and record the payment received elsewhere. Keep agreed follow-up tasks visible so an unfinished part order is not mistaken for a completed repair simply because the visit has ended.

Useful answers.
Can one client have work at more than one property?
Client records support multiple sites and linked property records. Use the relevant property for each job and confirm the visit address when arranging access.
What should I record for a landlord client?
Keep the billing contact, property address, access contact and approval arrangement clear. Record only the personal information needed for the work and recheck access details when circumstances change.
Will the app automatically remind clients about repairs?
Automatic service reminders are coming soon. Keep follow-up tasks with the work and contact clients yourself through the method you normally use.
How can old invoices help a new repair request?
They can show what service or material you billed for previously. Read them alongside the work notes, then inspect and discuss the new issue rather than assuming a matching description means the cause is the same.
Keep exploring.
