Software for electricians
Give the electrical scope a price the client can understand.
A quote for lighting, fault-finding or an alteration should explain the work behind the figure. Identify the points, fittings, access assumptions and labor you are offering before building the estimate. Microtra holds reusable items, quantities, your prices and markups; you supply the technical assessment, measured takeoff and decisions that make the scope appropriate for the site.
Make room for the real work.
- Lighting replacement scope
- Additional outlet work
- Fault-finding service
- Fixture installation labor
- Property alteration estimate
- Cable and containment installation
How it works.
Survey the work before selecting items
Keep the Client, Properties and Job details together in Trades & construction setup. Describe the existing conditions, access and the requested result. Distinguish a confirmed installation scope from a fault still needing investigation. Record exclusions such as decoration repair or client-supplied fittings so an estimate does not silently promise work you have not assessed.
See the jobs featureEnter a takeoff you have checked
Choose units that suit the work, such as a fitting, point, cable length or labor time. List materials and services clearly enough to distinguish the supplied item from the work of installing it. The app does not perform electrical design or automatic drawing takeoff; verify technical suitability and your quantity calculations through your own professional process.
See the invoicing featureReview labor and supplier assumptions together
Use your supplier information and business costs to set prices and markups. Consider access equipment, preparation, testing time and clearing the work area where they form part of your scope. Check the description of client-supplied equipment and any unresolved choice directly rather than treating a provisional fitting description as a confirmed specification.
See the expenses featurePresent the quote with its boundaries visible
Check tax settings and line descriptions, then share the estimate PDF through your device. Discuss the scope and keep the result in the Job notes. When the client requests an extra point or a different fitting, review its effect before updating the estimate or billing; the saved document is a record of your priced work, not an automatic technical approval.

Useful answers.
Does Microtra calculate cable sizes or circuit designs?
No. This page describes estimates built from your own scope, quantities and prices. It does not promise load calculations, electrical design checks or automatic takeoff. Make technical decisions through the professional tools and procedures appropriate to the work before turning the scope into a quote.
Can I show a supplied fitting separately from installation?
Yes. Use distinct item descriptions and units where that makes the agreement clearer. Explain who supplies the fitting and what installation work is included. Review compatibility and access yourself so a simple fixture line does not obscure additional preparation or work outside the original scope.
How should I quote a fault that has not been diagnosed?
Describe the investigative service and its limits rather than presenting an uncertain repair as settled. Explain how further work will be discussed after assessment. Keep the findings and resulting scope with the Job before preparing a separate repair estimate or updating the agreed work.
Will the client receive the quote by automatic email?
Server email delivery is coming soon. Share the estimate PDF through your device and confirm the scope directly. Review the recipient and property reference before sending, especially where a property manager approves the work but an occupant reported the electrical concern.
Keep exploring.
