Software for DJ business owners
Book the work around the performance, too.
The event start is only part of a DJ assignment. Loading access, equipment setup, a soundcheck and the agreed finish all need attention before you commit the day. Use Microtra to keep owner-managed appointments beside the Job, with the Client, venue instructions and work tasks close enough to review before you confirm another event.
Make room for the real work.
- Wedding reception performance
- Corporate event music
- Private party set
- Venue planning appointment
- Equipment setup and soundcheck
- Post-event breakdown and collection
How it works.
Write the event brief in the Job
Other setup uses Job and Client, with linked records and booking services off. Record the venue address, event contact, agreed performance scope and access arrangements in Job notes. Include the key cues you have discussed, such as introductions or a first-dance handoff, while keeping the detailed music plan in your own working process.
See the clients featureReserve preparation as well as playing time
Create appointments linked to the Job for the event and any planning visit. Assign staff and review working hours, time off and the time your equipment needs. You decide how loading, travel, setup and breakdown affect availability; this page does not promise an event conflict engine that calculates those requirements from the venue address.
See the jobs featureCheck the venue handoff before confirming
Keep tasks for power arrangements, loading access, soundcheck and the contact who can answer on the day. Discuss changes directly with the host or venue, then move appointments yourself if needed. No-login resources can represent business equipment on the schedule, but you still verify the actual kit, suitability and transport arrangements.
See the team featureClose the performance with a clear account
Review the agreed service and any added work before invoicing. Separate performance, agreed equipment or additional services in your item descriptions where helpful. Share the invoice PDF through your device and record payment received by an existing method. Keep the event notes useful for a later rebooking without assuming every returning client wants the same music or setup.

Useful answers.
Can a host reserve an event date online?
Public online booking is coming soon. Other setup starts without booking services, so this page describes appointments the business organizes beside a Job. Discuss venue, scope and timing directly before confirming the date; a request for a date alone does not explain the full event commitment.
Does Microtra provide music planning or playlist tools?
This page does not promise a music library, playlist builder or guest request portal. Keep your music preparation in the process you already use. Job notes can hold the administrative context and agreed cues so the schedule and invoice relate to the event you accepted.
Can I reserve time for soundcheck and teardown?
Create appointments that represent the work you need and describe the purpose clearly. Review staff availability and your equipment plan yourself. Include access and collection arrangements in the Job notes, particularly when the venue wants setup before the main event or collection after guests have left.
Will a booking take an online deposit?
Card deposits and pay links are coming soon. Agree any advance payment directly through your existing provider and record payment received in Microtra. Keep payment terms and the event confirmation process clear so a calendar entry is not mistaken for a completed deposit arrangement.
Keep exploring.
