Software for contracting business owners
Give each site visit a purpose before it reaches the diary.
A measurement visit, material-ready installation and completion check ask different things of the people attending. Organize those appointments beside the Job rather than relying on a calendar title alone. Microtra keeps the site context, tasks and assigned staff close to the schedule while you decide the work sequence and coordinate the people and suppliers involved.
Make room for the real work.
- Initial site measure
- Demolition and preparation visit
- Materials-ready installation
- Subcontractor coordination meeting
- Client selection review
- Completion and punch-list visit
How it works.
Make access part of the plan
Select the Client and Properties details, then create the Job in Trades & construction setup. Note the entrance, working area, site contact and any arrangements agreed for occupied rooms. A short appointment title is easier to act on when the person attending can open the work details and understand the site.
See the clients featureSchedule around tasks that can begin
Add an appointment linked to the Job and assign staff after reviewing their availability, working hours and time off. Consider the work sequence yourself: an installation may depend on preparation, a final selection or materials being on site. This page does not promise an automatic dependency schedule or an engine that decides when a trade can start.
See the jobs featureRepresent the equipment commitment clearly
Bookable resources can represent no-login equipment or vehicles on the schedule. Use that record where it helps you reserve shared business kit, then verify suitability and transport arrangements yourself. Contact subcontractors and suppliers directly; an entry in your business schedule does not confirm that an outside company has accepted an appointment.
See the team featureReview the knock-on effect of a change
If access falls through or preparation is delayed, move the appointment and check the work around it. Contact the client and other affected people through your usual channel. Keep tasks and status aligned with the revised plan so the next person does not travel to a site where the agreed work cannot yet happen.

Useful answers.
Is this contractor dispatch software?
Microtra does not provide live dispatch, GPS tracking or route optimization. The owner organizes appointments and assigned staff inside the business. Use the work details and schedule to support your own decisions, while travel planning and communication with people on site remain part of your normal coordination.
Can I plan several visits for the same project?
Appointments can be linked to the Job. Give each a clear purpose, such as measuring, preparation, installation or completion checks. You decide the sequence and review it after changes; the page does not promise that moving a preparation visit will automatically move every dependent task.
Does an assigned appointment confirm a subcontractor?
No. Confirm outside availability and scope directly with the subcontractor through your own process. Record the agreed arrangement in the work notes. A schedule entry is a plan inside your business, so check the other company's acceptance before telling the client that specialist work is confirmed.
Will clients be told when the date changes?
Server email and SMS delivery are coming soon. Contact the client and anyone else affected through your usual channel, then update the appointment and notes. Recheck access and material readiness as well as the date so the revised visit still has a workable purpose.
Keep exploring.
