Software for concrete contractors

A concrete quote needs more than a pour total.

Access, excavation, base preparation and the specified finish can change the shape of a concrete job. Use Microtra to present the scope you have measured and priced, from site preparation through the agreed finishing work. You supply dimensions, waste assumptions and supplier quotes; the app keeps your items, quantities and estimate together with the Client and Job.

Make room for the real work.

  • Sidewalk replacement
  • Driveway slab installation
  • Patio pour and finish
  • Garage slab preparation
  • Small equipment pad
  • Concrete removal before replacement
  • Formwork and reinforcement preparation

How it works.

  1. Start with the site and its limits

Create the Client and linked Properties record, then describe the Job. Note access for deliveries, removal needs, excavation assumptions and the finish discussed. Mark which measurements have been checked on site and which remain provisional. A slope, tight access or existing buried obstruction deserves a clear scope note before it becomes a priced promise.

  2. Choose units that match your takeoff

Separate demolition, base material, forms, reinforcement, supplied concrete and finishing labor where relevant. Enter your own quantities in meaningful units such as area, volume, length or labor time. Calculate thickness, waste and delivery requirements through your estimating process; this page does not promise automatic plan takeoff or a structural design calculation.

  3. Price preparation as deliberately as placement

Use saved items, your supplier information, prices and markups to build the estimate. Explain where pumping, hauling or special access is included or excluded. Review tax settings and the relationship between a subcontracted service and your quoted scope. The owner should be able to see what must be ready before concrete arrives.

  4. Keep changes tied to the accepted work

Share the estimate PDF through your device and discuss assumptions directly with the client. Record changes to area, reinforcement or finish with the Job before carrying them into billing. Progress invoices can come from an estimate; review the work stage and agreement yourself rather than treating a requested pour date as proof that the whole scope is ready to bill.

Useful answers.

Does Microtra measure concrete quantities from a drawing?

You provide the measured scope and calculated quantities. The estimate can display those quantities with your item descriptions and prices, but this page does not claim drawing measurement, automatic takeoff or engineering checks. Verify dimensions and specification details through your own estimating process before quoting.

How can I show preparation separately from the pour?

Use distinct descriptions for removal, excavation, base work, forms, reinforcement and placement where those are part of the agreement. Choose the unit that explains each item. A client can then understand how a changed site condition affects preparation without assuming every difference changes the concrete quantity.

Can I account for a concrete pump or disposal service?

Include an agreed service as a separate estimate line and use your own quoted cost and markup. Check the supplier's scope, access assumptions and booking arrangements outside the app. Saved items help reuse descriptions, but you remain responsible for verifying what the service includes.

Is this the best concrete bidding system for large tenders?

Suitability depends on your process. This page covers small-business estimates, job records and invoice documents, without promising tender portals, automated takeoff or bid comparisons. Review your required workflow during the trial and use the estimate to explain the specific scope you can deliver.
