Bill for the sign from proof to installation
A sign order is defined by its dimensions, substrate, artwork and finish, not only by the word sign. Show the fabricated items and any separately agreed installation so the buyer can compare the bill with the approved proof. This sample is about sign-making work, with a storefront panel and vinyl lettering rather than an online invoice-signing tool.

How to use the template.
- Match the final proof and order revision before copying production details. Keep the accepted size and quantity visible on the invoice.
- Identify whether artwork preparation was included or separately priced. Charge a later revision only under the customer's approved arrangement.
- Distinguish supply-only items from installed signs. Describe delivery and installation as separate services where they were quoted separately.
- Edit the DOCX with actual specifications and charges, reconcile prior order payments and inspect the final document before sending it to the buyer.
Useful answers.
Do I need to include every production detail?
Include enough specification to identify the sold item: size, material, quantity and proof reference are often useful. Keep detailed fabrication instructions in the production record.
How do I invoice a replacement panel?
Identify the replacement and its approval separately from an original order or warranty remedy. The reason for replacement matters when deciding whether a new charge is appropriate.
Can installation be billed before the sign is fitted?
Use the stage the customer accepted, such as production completion or delivery. Describe a staged bill accurately rather than saying installation was completed when it remains outstanding.
Keep exploring.
