Document the roof work that reached completion
A roofing invoice should connect the roof area, installed system and approved repairs to the work the owner accepted. Separate damaged decking discovered during tear-off from the original replacement scope. This example uses defined roof sections; its quantities do not stand in for a measurement report or prove that a particular assembly is appropriate.

How to use the template.
- Match the billed section and measurement unit to the accepted scope. Define specialist units so the owner can reconcile them with the proposal.
- Check which flashing, underlayment, ventilation and disposal work was included before adding separate charges.
- Reconcile decking replacement with site records and the customer's approval. Identify a repair quantity rather than a vague unforeseen-work allowance.
- Add the completion and invoice dates, reconcile advances and review the bill with the separate warranty or product handoff documents.
Useful answers.
Should roofing squares be explained?
Yes. Define the unit used in the accepted proposal and keep it consistent through measurement, installation and billing. Do not change the unit partway through the project.
Where do gutters or flashing repairs belong?
Give independently priced work a clear line and location. If it was already included in the roofing scope, describing it does not justify another charge.
Can I say insurance will cover the invoice?
Do not promise coverage or settlement. Describe the completed work accurately and let the owner and insurer resolve their policy and claim arrangements.
Keep exploring.
