Put the lawn route and visit expectations in writing
The same yard can need different work from visit to visit. A lawn care agreement should explain the mowing area, the intended service rhythm and the point at which overgrowth or extra cleanup becomes separate work. This download is an outline for legal review.
This is a sample, not legal advice. Have a qualified attorney in your state review any contract before you use it.
Inside the downloadable sample
- The service map and regular tasks
- Visit rhythm and growth changes
- Gates, pets and yard readiness
- Overgrown grass and optional work
- Billing the agreed service
- Ending service and returning access items
The PDF and editable DOCX contain the sample clauses and blank agreement fields. Microtra does not generate contracts.
How to use the template.
- Walk the yard and mark mowing limits, gated sections and obstacles before filling out the sample.
- Choose which tasks belong in the regular visit and which need a separate quote.
- Ask a qualified attorney in your state to review frequency, billing and termination language.
- Share the final reviewed scope through your own agreement process and retain changes to the route instructions.
Useful answers.
How should rain affect a mowing agreement?
Describe the practical response to wet ground, including how rescheduling is communicated. Avoid promising service regardless of turf conditions; have your attorney review the wording for delays and missed visits.
Are leaves and bagged clippings automatically included?
They need their own scope decision. State whether leaves are mulched, collected or left for a separate cleanup, and whether clipping removal changes the service price.
Can a route customer request extra trimming during a visit?
Give the crew a clear approval path. Record the requested area, the effect on the visit and any agreed charge before adding work beyond the mowing map.
Keep exploring.
