A landscaping agreement built around the site plan

A landscape installation changes more than the planting beds. Soil preparation, drainage, material substitutions and care after handover all deserve a clear discussion. Download this PDF or editable DOCX outline to organize a site-specific agreement with your attorney.

Inside the downloadable sample

  • Drawing, boundaries and installation scope
  • Plant schedule and material selection
  • Ground conditions before excavation
  • Sequence, weather and site protection
  • Approved changes and project charges
  • Watering instructions and handover

The PDF and editable DOCX contain the sample clauses and blank agreement fields. Microtra does not generate contracts.

How to use the template.

  1. Mark the proposed beds, access routes and drainage observations on a site drawing before editing the DOCX.
  2. Gather the nursery list and hardscape selections, with a separate list of exclusions and owner-supplied materials.
  3. Take the outline and proposal to a qualified attorney in your state to prepare the terms.
  4. Keep the reviewed agreement, approved substitutions and handover notes with the project paperwork.

Useful answers.

Should maintenance be included with a new landscape installation?

Only when the parties actually agree to it. List establishment watering, pruning, mowing and replacement visits separately so that an installation scope does not silently become a maintenance commitment.

What helps when a specified plant is unavailable?

Prepare a substitution procedure that records the proposed plant, size, placement and price effect before ordering. Your attorney can turn that procedure into suitable agreement language.

Does the download promise that every plant will survive?

No. It raises care and replacement questions without making a survival guarantee. Discuss the practical conditions with the client and have an attorney review any warranty you intend to offer.
