Interior design invoices with stage fees and purchases kept clear
A client should be able to match a design invoice to the completed stage and the service they approved. Name the room and delivered package, then distinguish additional advice, purchasing support and reimbursable costs. Keep product orders and service fees clear, especially when some suppliers bill the client directly.

[Identify the completed presentation or specification package and delivery reference.]
[Reference approval for additional advice or procurement support.]
[Show any stage payment already received and prevent duplicate product or supplier charges.]
[Add applicable tax, due terms and remittance details consistent with the engagement.]
How to use the template.
- Check the completed deliverable against the engagement stage being billed.
- Keep extra advisory time and documented expenses separate from the agreed milestone fee.
- Reconcile supplier-direct purchases and advance payments so they are not charged again by mistake.
- Replace the fictional figures, review tax treatment with your adviser and share the final invoice.
Useful answers.
Can a furniture order be mixed into the service fee?
Use the purchasing arrangement in the engagement and keep the categories understandable. Goods supplied by you, goods billed directly by a supplier and design services may need different descriptions and treatment.
How should a presentation milestone be described?
Name the room, stage and delivered package, such as a concept deck or specification schedule. Avoid vague wording that leaves the client unable to connect the fee to completed work.
Where do extra selection meetings belong?
List separately approved work with its actual billing basis and reference the scope approval. Do not silently add it to a fixed stage fee that the client understood to include those meetings.
Keep exploring.
