A handyman invoice for the work actually finished

Close a small repair visit with descriptions that match the finished work. This handyman invoice template separates a completed door repair, assembled storage and supplied hardware. If a task was deferred or a part did not fit, record the exception rather than billing it as though the original punch list was fully completed.

  2. Match supplied parts to purchase records and identify any addition approved during the visit.
  3. Enter the agreed billing basis, check the arithmetic and account for previous payments.
  4. Give the client a reviewed copy and keep the finished task record with your business paperwork.

Useful answers.

How do I bill a task that was only partly completed?

Use the agreement and the actual work record to decide what is billable. Describe the completed portion and the reason for deferral rather than presenting it as a finished task.

Should a homeowner-supplied part appear as my material charge?

Do not charge for supplying a part you did not supply. You may describe it as client-supplied context for the labor line if that helps explain the work.

Can I keep the invoice and job together in Microtra?

Microtra supports invoices linked to work, including time-and-materials invoicing from jobs. The downloaded example is separate and is not automatically imported into the app.
