Software for towing business owners

Keep agreed tow appointments visible to the business.

Towing dispatch software searches often include live control-room needs. Microtra does not provide live dispatch, GPS tracking or route optimization. This page describes a narrower workflow: the owner records agreed service appointments and staff assignments while the business manages caller conversations, operator decisions and communications through its own process.

Make room for the real work.

  • Prearranged repair-shop transfer
  • Fleet vehicle collection appointment
  • Agreed delivery to a service location
  • Return after access is confirmed
  • Customer-arranged vehicle movement
  • Staff time reserved for an agreed pickup

How it works.

  1. Establish the authorized service first

Record the Client contact, pickup location, destination and agreed work in the Job notes. Other setup uses Job and Client, with linked records off. Put appropriate vehicle identification in the work notes rather than assuming a linked vehicle record is created by this setup.

  2. Put the agreement on the diary

Create an appointment linked to the job and assign the relevant staff time. Review working hours and existing commitments. The operator assesses vehicle condition, recovery needs and equipment suitability through your own operational procedure; the schedule entry cannot make those decisions.

    See the jobs feature
  3. Coordinate changes through the caller

If a repair shop changes its receiving window or access is unavailable, contact the responsible person and agree the next action. Update the job notes and appointment after that conversation. Decide yourself which other commitments need to move and communicate those changes directly.

    See the jobs feature
  4. Keep completion and billing connected

Record the completed service and any agreed changes clearly enough to support the invoice. Separate an added movement from the original pickup if the scope changed. Use the job context when reviewing time and preparing the document rather than relying on an unexplained call reference.

Useful answers.

Can I use this as a real-time tow truck dispatch board?

Microtra does not provide live dispatch or GPS tracking. These pages describe general business scheduling and records. Assess specialist call allocation, live vehicle location and emergency operating needs through the appropriate systems and procedures.

Will it estimate a truck arrival time?

You judge arrival windows and communicate them directly. A reserved appointment and staff assignment do not calculate traffic, operator progress or travel time. Review the actual operational situation before promising the caller an arrival.

What details help with a planned shop transfer?

Record the authorized contact, pickup and receiving locations, access arrangements and the agreed service. Confirm the receiving shop can accept the vehicle. Keep professional assessments and operator instructions within your established procedure.

Will changing a diary entry tell the driver or customer?

Server SMS and email delivery are coming soon. Contact the people involved through your existing dispatch and communication process, then update the business record to match the arrangement they accepted.
