Software for tattoo artists

Keep the studio agreement as clear as the artwork.

The next sitting belongs to a larger project, but it still needs its own service agreement and space in the artist's diary. Connect the booked visit with business contacts and billing. Keep artwork, consent and specialist professional records within the studio's chosen workflow.

The everyday details

You know the work.
The admin adds up.

The consultation is not the finished scope

Placement, scale and the agreed work may need clarification before a sitting is reserved. Keep the business agreement visible so the calendar and final invoice do not rely on an early message alone.

A sitting needs space around it

Preparation, client conversation and clearing the station affect the artist's availability. Start times without realistic buffers make it harder to give each visit the attention it needs.

Payment history can get separated from the visit

An amount received earlier, a completed sitting and a future booking are different records. A clear invoice history helps you explain the remaining balance without relying on a handwritten note.

Several sittings need separate business context

A larger project may span visits that differ in duration and completed work. Keep each sitting's service agreement and account clear instead of letting a broad project name imply that every future appointment has the same scope.

A few useful answers

Questions from tattoo artists.

Can the app design tattoos or manage clinical consent?

Microtra does not create tattoo artwork or provide specialist consent and health-record management. Its role is studio business administration, including scheduling, estimates, expenses and invoices.

Which app setup should an artist use?

Barber & salon uses Appointment and Client, with bookings and packages enabled. Stock and linked records start off and can be enabled in Modules & terms if required.

Can I book a consultation separately from a sitting?

Create separate services with their own duration and buffer, then arrange them with the client inside the business. Use clear names so the booking reflects which conversation or work is expected.

Can clients book and pay a deposit online?

Public online booking and card deposits are coming soon. Arrange the visit directly and record any payment you receive through your existing payment provider.

Can a project have separate invoice lines for its sittings?

Use service descriptions and quantities that match the agreement for the work being billed. Review payments already recorded and explain the balance clearly, while keeping artwork and specialist procedural records in the studio's separate professional workflow.
