Software for makeup artists

Keep the beauty plan and the booking together.

The photographer's arrival can determine when the last person must leave your chair. Give the agreed makeup service a clear appointment and invoice, with venue access, trial arrangements and party size settled before you unpack the kit.

The everyday details

You know the work.
The admin adds up.

The event has a finish time, not just a start time

Photography, dressing and venue access can constrain the makeup schedule. You need the client's ready-by time, location and service list before deciding how the appointment should fit.

Trials and event services have different scopes

A trial may establish the look but not settle every service for the event. Additional people, lashes or travel can change the quote and should not be left to memory.

Kit spending sits outside the client conversation

Brush care, disposables, complexion products and travel add business costs. A busy event diary is difficult to evaluate when receipts and service invoices live in separate places.

How Microtra helps

Keep the business connected.

Use the tools that fit your day, with your records ready on your phone or on the web.

Keep event context with the contact

Store client details and business notes for the venue, agreed services and key contact. Connect estimates and invoices to that person while keeping consultation, consent and product safety procedures within your professional practice.

Shape the appointment around the service

Create services with duration, buffers and staff availability. Enter the booking inside the app after agreeing the timing, allowing for setup and clearing the station rather than filling every gap with chair time.

Describe the whole agreed engagement

Build estimates with separate lines for a trial, event makeup, additional services and agreed travel. Use your own prices and make revisions visible before the client accepts a larger service list.

Review the business behind the kit

Record expenses with receipt photos for cosmetics, disposables and transport. Share invoice PDFs from your device and enter payments received through your existing method so bookings and unpaid balances remain separate.

A day in the life

From the first quote to paid.

  1. Collect the event brief

Find out where makeup will take place, who needs a service and when everyone must be ready. Save the client's agreed scope alongside contact information.

  2. Quote the trial and event clearly

Describe the services and travel arrangement in the estimate. Keep an optional extra separate until the client confirms it, especially when the party size is still changing.

  3. Reserve preparation room

Choose the service duration and buffer, review staff availability and place the appointment. Confirm venue access and the arrival arrangement directly with the client.

  4. Finish the service paperwork

Update approved additions, share the final invoice PDF and record payment taken elsewhere. Add supply or travel receipts while the event details are still easy to recall.

A few useful answers

Questions from makeup artists.

Can I keep a bridal trial separate from the wedding visit?

Create distinct services and appointments for the trial and the event. Their duration, preparation and invoice descriptions can differ while their estimates and billing remain connected to the same client.

What does the makeup artist setup call an appointment?

Barber & salon uses Appointment and Client. Linked records and stock start off. If you decide to track kit stock, enable it in Modules & terms before managing quantities or purchasing there.

Does the software manage face charts or product allergy screening?

Microtra does not supply face charts, shade matching or specialist allergy screening. Use it for business administration and follow your own professional consultation and product procedures for the makeup itself.

Can a wedding client book and pay a deposit on a public page?

Public online booking and card deposits are coming soon. Arrange the service directly, enter the booking in the app and record money received through your established payment method.
