Software for appliance repair owners

A repair visit starts before the tool bag opens.

A refrigerator fault, a leaking washer and an oven that will not heat need different preparation. Plan the visit around the reported symptom, access arrangements and any part already ordered. Microtra keeps the scheduled appointment beside the Job so the person attending can see what was agreed before knocking on the door.

Make room for the real work.

  • Refrigerator fault diagnosis
  • Washer leak investigation
  • Dryer belt replacement
  • Dishwasher drainage repair
  • Oven element return visit
  • Range hood service

How it works.

  1. Capture the appliance and the complaint

Add the Client contact, service address and Job notes. Include the appliance type, model identifier, reported symptom and who will provide access. Trades & construction starts with Job, Client and Properties; keep appliance identifiers in your notes rather than treating the property record as a dedicated appliance register.

  2. Reserve diagnosis time with the right person

Create an appointment linked to the Job and assign staff. Review working hours, breaks and time off before promising an arrival arrangement. Allow for opening the appliance, testing the fault, clearing the work area and explaining the next step; an initial diagnosis and a completed repair may need separate visits.

  3. Keep the return tied to the original work

When the correct part is available, agree a return appointment directly with the client. Put the part description and outstanding task in the Job. Move the appointment yourself if delivery changes, and review the rest of the day before confirming another time. Microtra does not provide automatic service reminders.

  4. Close the visit with a useful record

Record time spent and update tasks after testing the appliance. Separate diagnosis, replacement parts and repair labor when preparing the invoice. Share the PDF through your device, then record payment received through your existing method. Keep any unresolved symptom visible for the next conversation rather than marking the entire issue finished too early.

Useful answers.

Can I arrange a visit after a replacement part arrives?

Yes. Keep the first diagnosis and proposed repair in the Job, then add an appointment for the return. You choose when the part is ready and confirm access with the client. The schedule does not make that parts-readiness decision for you.

Will this send an arrival message to the homeowner?

Server email and SMS delivery are coming soon. Contact the homeowner through your usual channel to confirm access, arrival arrangements and changes. Review the address and the person letting you in before setting off, particularly where the payer and occupant are different people.

Does it identify faults from an appliance model?

The workflow described here is a record of your diagnosis and work. You supply the model details, tests and repair decisions. It does not promise a fault-code library, manufacturer diagnostic connection or automatic matching of a replacement part to an appliance.

Can customers book a repair slot on a public page?

Public online booking is coming soon. This page covers appointments organized by the business after speaking with the client. Record the complaint first so you can reserve an appropriate visit and explain whether the appointment is for diagnosis or agreed repair work.
