The everyday details

You know the work.
The admin adds up.

The pupil may not be the payer

A parent, guardian or another household member may handle the invoice. Establish the billing contact at intake so lesson arrangements and payment questions reach the right adult.

A changed lesson affects the day

A moved lesson may leave a gap or clash with a later pupil. Check the whole teaching schedule before agreeing a replacement, and explain your cancellation policy directly.

Materials and tuition can be confused

A method book or recital-related expense is different from teaching time. Describe each agreed charge clearly so a family can understand what the invoice covers.

A recital brings separate administration

Accompaniment, rehearsal attendance and family communication may sit outside a normal lesson. Agree those responsibilities separately, including any chargeable teaching time, so an event does not silently enlarge the regular tuition arrangement.
