Software for craft business owners

Keep the making and the selling connected.

A maker may sell ready-made pieces at a market while preparing a personalized commission for collection. Microtra helps organize customer orders, counted stock and business expenses, giving the owner a clearer view of the commercial work alongside the workshop.

The everyday details

You know the work.
The admin adds up.

Similar products are not identical stock

Color, finish, size and packaging can distinguish items that look alike on a shelf. If the business describes them inconsistently, the piece promised to a customer may be confused with a different variant intended for the next market.

Custom requests need a settled brief

Personalization, material choice and the agreed handoff affect both the work and the price. A short message saying the usual design may leave the maker guessing which lettering, finish or presentation the buyer has in mind.

Market and workshop goods move around

Finished pieces can leave the studio, sit on a stall and return unsold. Counting only what remains on the workshop shelf makes it difficult to distinguish sold goods from items that are simply held elsewhere.

Supply shopping conceals business costs

Findings, adhesives, packaging, display materials and tool maintenance all contribute to the business. A profitable-looking sale can be misleading when those purchases never make it into the owner's expense records.

How Microtra helps

Keep the business connected.

Use the tools that fit your day, with your records ready on your phone or on the web.

Give products consistent identities

Save items and variants for the finished goods and supplies you choose to track. Use stock locations, transfers and physical counts to record movement between storage and a market setup rather than relying on memory after packing down.

Keep custom orders understandable

Use Customer details and Order notes for the agreed product, personalization and handoff. Retail shop uses those labels and starts with stock enabled. Microtra does not generate craft patterns, production designs or automated manufacturing instructions.

Price the complete request

Write estimate or invoice items for the goods, approved personalization and agreed delivery or presentation. Enter your own quantities and prices, then share the invoice PDF through your device and record payment received by your existing method.

Capture the purchases behind the pieces

Use supplier contacts, purchasing records and expenses with receipt photos for materials and business spending. Keep technical material suitability and workshop safety decisions in your professional making process rather than treating an item description as a specification.

A day in the life

From the first quote to paid.

  1. Clarify a commission before making

Confirm the product variant, wording or finish and the customer's expectations. Describe any agreed personalization clearly, then use your own design review and approval process before committing materials to the piece.

  2. Check the supplies and stock

Review countable items and planned purchases. Record transfers deliberately when finished products move to a market location, keeping workshop production planning and material consumption calculations in your established system.

  3. Prepare a consistent handoff

Compare the completed piece with the agreed commercial description. Check the packaging and collection arrangement directly with the customer so a last-minute delivery assumption does not change the order without agreement.

  4. Reconcile after the market or pickup

Record supplied goods, invoice items and money received elsewhere. Enter expenses, wastage and remaining stock movements so the next selling session begins with a count you can explain rather than a pile of partly opened boxes.

A few useful answers

Questions from craft business owners.

Does Microtra design patterns or calculate material yield?

It does not create patterns, cut layouts or production yield calculations. Use appropriate making tools and your own measurements, then enter the items, quantities, purchases and prices needed for the business records.

Can I track different colors and sizes?

Saved items and variants can distinguish products you count and sell. Choose clear descriptions and units, then maintain stock movements and counts deliberately. The app does not inspect whether a handmade piece matches its description.

How do I reserve a collection appointment?

Scheduling starts off in Retail shop. Turn it on in Modules & terms before using appointments, then enter the time agreed directly with the buyer. Keep the order description focused on the promised goods and handoff.

Is this an online craft storefront?

Microtra does not provide a public product storefront or marketplace selling workflow. It organizes orders, stock, invoices and expenses inside the business. Card charging and online package sales are coming soon.
