Software for print shop owners

A clear order makes the production handoff easier.

Before the press run, the person at the counter needs a readable record of the paper, quantity and finishing the customer approved. Keep the accepted specification, quantities and price with the customer record so the business side of the order does not get lost between counter and press.

The everyday details

You know the work.
The admin adds up.

A file name does not describe the order

Paper choice, finished size, sides and finishing need an agreed specification. Confirm those details before quoting and keep the approved commercial scope readable without opening a production file.

Finishing can be forgotten at checkout

Cutting, folding, binding and delivery add work beyond printed sheets. Give those services clear descriptions so the customer understands what the total covers.

A rush change reaches the wrong person

A revised quantity or pickup arrangement can affect materials and handoff. Record the approved change instead of leaving production and counter staff with different conversations.

A reorder is still a new specification

A customer may say same as last time while changing quantity or paper. Use the old account as context, then confirm the new commercial details rather than allowing a historic invoice to substitute for an accepted production order.

How Microtra helps

Keep the business connected.

Use the tools that fit your day, with your records ready on your phone or on the web.

Give the order a business record

Use order details, tasks, notes and status for the accepted print job. Keep proof approval and press-ready files in your own production workflow; Microtra does not prepare artwork or drive printing equipment.

A few useful answers

Questions from print shop owners.

Is this print production or preflight software?

Microtra does not preflight files, impose pages, manage color or operate presses. It keeps business orders, customer details, materials and billing beside the production tools you already use.

Does a print shop start with a schedule?

Retail shop uses Order and Customer and enables stock and locations. Schedule and timesheets start off; enable them in Modules & terms if you want those parts of the business record.

How should finishing appear on a quote?

Describe cutting, folding, binding or other agreed work separately where it helps explain the price. Use quantities and units that match the specification accepted by the customer.

Can I collect money with the invoice PDF?

Record payments you take through your existing method. Microtra card charging and pay links are coming soon, so the PDF itself does not collect payment.
